Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering launches new lab
Pilot Plant-Multiloop Control System
The Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Vashi inaugurated a new laboratory in the instrumentation department, “Pilot Plant-Multiloop Control System”. The unique laboratory for the students has a live plant set up and the measuring transmitter in the lab are donated by Endress+Hauser, India. Present for the inauguration were Dr M Z Shaikh, Principal, Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Mr Sajiv Nath, MD, Endress+Hauser and students of the college.
The new laboratory brings together technologies and processing equipment to provide an innovative set-up which bridges the gap between the laboratory and industrial scale. This also helps students in learning techniques of water management and highlights the need of measurement in various industries like chemical, petrochemical, food & beverage, oil & gas, water & wastewater, power & energy, life science, primaries & metal, renewable energies, pulp & paper and shipbuilding industries.
Students can interact with the professor and enhance their understanding in terms of reliability, safety, economic efficiency and environmental impact.
Dr. M Z Shaikh, Principal, Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering on launching the laboratory said, “The advanced industry-grade instruments by Endress+Hauser will give a good insight to the students of actual industrial set-ups so that they can excel easily in their future career.”
Mr. Sajiv Nath, MD, Endress+Hauser at the launch said, “It’s different from learning about it in the class and seeing how it is observed in the laboratories. It really helps make the recognition that engineering techniques are made in the present and not just discovered long ago. We are excited that the next generation will get to learn at the live plant at Bharati Vidyapeeth Engineering College”.
